Byambasure is an economist who strongly focuses on economic inequality and labor economics. She is completing her Ph.D. in Regional Policy and Economics at the University of Pécs, Hungary, with a dissertation on income inequality in Central-Eastern Europe. She holds a Master's and Bachelor's in Applied Mathematics from the National University of Mongolia. Byambasuren has held critical roles throughout her career, including Project Director and Board Member at the Independent Research Institute of Mongolia, CEO at MIRIM Consultant LLC, and National University of Mongolia Lecturer. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, with notable works on wage inequality and financial and social exclusion in Central and Eastern Europe. She has also led numerous research projects funded by international organizations such as JICA, ADB, and GIZ.
Currently, Byambasuren is a recipient of a scholarship from TÁRKI, where she will soon begin work on our new project, "Demographic Change and the Intergenerational Persistence in Homeownership in Europe" (DECIPHE), after completing her studies.
